The Moon

• Moon travels around the celestial sphere once per month. Moon has the same root as Month in Old English.
• Closely follows the Ecliptic. Within about 8° either side. In a band called the Zodiac, based on the constellations.
• Moon affects the earth’s orbit and contributes to Precession with the Sun.
